Enter the 2007 ODU Women's Studies Essay Contest!
The Women's Studies Department is looking for the best student papers of 2007 on topics pertaining to women. The deadline for submission is February 1, 2008. One undergraduate and one graduate student winner will each receive an award courtesy of Friends of Women's Studies in a ceremony in spring 2008. Honorable mentions will also receive an award.
You may be a full- or part-time student. The paper must have been submitted in partial fulfillment of the requirements of an Old Dominion University course scheduled during the 2007 spring, summer, or fall semesters. It need not have been written for a Women's Studies course. You may submit more than one paper if you wish.
Instructors: If you have received excellent papers that meet these criteria this semester, please urge the students to submit them for this contest.
All papers should be submitted by 4 p.m. on February 1, 2008.

The paper may be in any style.The author's name MUST appear on the cover/title page, but MUST NOT appear on any other page, including near the page numbers.The title of the paper must also be placed on the first page of the paper, just before the body of the text.Four copies of the paper must be submitted (original plus three copies, or four copies-- submission of original is not mandatory.)AUTHORS ARE REMINDED TO RETAIN A COPY FOR THEMSELVES AS SUBMITTED ESSAY CANNOT BE RETURNED.
