Vaughan Frederick
Vaughan Frederick received a BA degree in English and Folklore from Georgia State University and an MA in Humanities with a concentration in Women’s Studies and English from Old Dominion University. She has taught Introduction to Women’s Studies at both ODU and Tidewater Community College as an adjunct instructor since 2001. In addition to her teaching, she is a post secondary and financial aid counselor for students with learning differences.
Granddaughter of a suffragist, daughter of a socialist feminist, Vaughan has a special interest in American women’s history and reproductive rights and body image issues in young women and girls.
