Ms. Agnes Fuller Mobley-Wynne
Lecturer of Music and Soprano
Agnes Fuller Mobley-Wynne is a Senior Lecturer in Voice at Old Dominion University where she has been a full time member of the voice faculty since 1991. She has also been on the voice faculties at Virginia Commonwealth University's Community Music School, Christopher Newport University and The Governor's School for the Arts.
She has performed numerous works as a soloist with the Virginia Symphony Orchestra and Chorus, Cantata Chorus, Norfolk Chamber Consort, Virginia Opera, Virginia Beach Symphony Orchestra, TodiMusicFest and the Continental Army Band. She recently performed abroad as a soloist and chorister with the Innsbruck International Choral Festival and in solo recital in Gmunden, Austria.
Ms. Mobley-Wynne's undergraduate degree was awarded magna cum laude from the University of Richmond, Virginia. She holds a Master of Music Degree in vocal performance from the University of Maryland. She has received two Citation Medallion Awards and a Certificate of Appreciation for Outstanding Civilian Service from the United States Army for her contributions to the concerts and recordings of the Continental Army Band.
She is a current member and past board member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing and has served on the Boards of the Norfolk Chamber Consort and the Cantata Chorus. Her students have been Regional and State winners in the annual NATS Student Vocal Competitions, the Leontyne Price Vocal Arts Competition, the Old Dominion University Concerto Competition and have been chosen by audition to participate in summer music programs with Opera Festiva di Roma in Italy and Seagle Music Colony in New York.
Ms. Mobley-Wynne continues with her performing career as an active soloist and recitalist. Her teaching responsibilities at Old Dominion University include foreign language diction, vocal technique and repertoire for the voice department.
