ODU Model UN Conference

Who we are
The Model United Nations Society is ODU's window on the United Nations and international activism. The Society's mission is promoting global, multicultural education and leadership experience through experiential learning, stressing student participation in simulation conferences and courses. We represent the university at model UN, European Union, Nato and crisis simulation conferences around the country, and by organizing major simulations of our own, including ODUMUNC, held every February. Membership is open to students from all colleges and disciplines at the university.

I am a Senior Psychology and Human Services major, from the Eastern Shore of Virginia, involved in model UN since high school. I love social work and helping others succeed, and plan to work as a counselor to less fortunate children and families. I love the society and its atmosphere of learning, friends, travels, and experiences! I am always excited to meet new people. Stop by our office and say Hi!

Hey y'all! I am a junior majoring in Business Management. This will be my 3rd year in MUN and I am ready for this coming year's excitement! I love the traveling to conferences and debating real world problems. When I am not in the MUN room or studying, I am either at the gym or at soccer practice. I always keep a busy schedule and love every minute of it.

Hey everyone, I'm a junior majoring in philosophy. When I'm not living in the Model UN office, I like to make music, and I often play acoustic shows around town. After I leave ODU I hope to attend law school, but in the meantime Model UN has been a great way to learn about the world and meet great friends.

A sophomore international studies major from Northern Virginia, I got interested in international studies while living in The Netherlands and I have been fortune enough to travel all over the world. Outside of MUN I play soccer, volleyball and am a huge college sports fan. Go Louisville Cardinals!

I am a Human Services major and Philosophy minor from Newport News. My aspirations involve a degree in Counseling and a car with a decent stereo system. I became interested in Model United Nations Society through my love of international debate and role-playing, and look forward to being USG and benevolent Crisis Taskmaster at the next conference. Be well!

I am a sophomore from Harrisonburg, Virginia. Last year at ODU was great, a blast living in Rogers Hall and majoring in international studies. I love being in MUN: the opportunity to make friends, debate current events and get away for loads of fun at conferences. Joining MUN is one of the best decisions I ever made!

A sophomore dual majoring in Communications and  English; I've been involved in MUN since freshman year of high school and love international politics. MUN allows me to take on a role of a diplomat and explore new horizons. I additionally enjoy listening to music, going camping/hiking/surfing, and artistic journaling.

A Model UN addict, I got my taste in middle school; it’s been a passion ever since. I look forward to reinvigorating the ODUMUN competitive spirit. Dag Hammarskjold and John Hay are the ideal diplomats I strive to be. Outside, I am a graduate student in English Literature with a strong interest in the post-colonial and post-modern theory.

A senior, majoring in Political Science, my interests include international political economy, development, African politics and international law. I have been involved with Model UN for a little over a year, since transferring from Texas. The club gave me great friends, the opportunity to travel and explore my interests. We have an eclectic group and love to laugh. Join us!
