REQUIREMENTS FOR THE MINOR
The requirements for a Minor in Latin American Studies are fifteen credit hours composed of the following:
1. Three (3) credit hours to demonstrate Spanish proficiency at the 300 level as demonstrated by successful completion of Spanish 311 or 312 or the equivalent. (Proficiency in Portuguese is also accepted.)
2. Twelve (12) credit hours at the 300 or 400 level taken taken from at least three of the following program areas: Geography, History, International Business, Political Science and Spanish.
NOTE: Credits may also be earned by studying abroad in Latin America (including Brazil).
