Institute for the Study of Race and Ethnicity (ISRE)

Honors Certificate in African American and African Studies

Students with a minimum GPA of 3.25 may wish to transform their minor into an honors experience. This can be done through the Honors Program. Students interested in doing this must obtain an "Application for Honors Course Designation" form from the Academic Honors Program office.

Upon completion of all requirements (application, approval, course work, etc.), the Director of the Institute for the Study of Race and Ethnicity will award at graduation an "Honors Certificate in African American and African Studies" for all those students who complete with a 3.25 GPA, a minimum of 12 hours of honors designated courses in African American and African Studies.
