IJIU Research Fellows Program

The Institute for Jewish Studies and Interfaith Understanding's Research Fellows Program offers institutional assistance to post-doctoral researchers in developing projects related to interfaith studies. Research Fellows work closely with Old Dominion faculty members who provide assistance in developing projects, grant writing, and submitting research for publication. One research fellow will be appointed for each academic year.

2005-06 applications to the program must be submitted to the Institute's Academic Coordinator no later than April 1, 2005. Applications will include the following:

1)Current Curriculum Vitae
2)Academic Transcripts
3)Project Description (no more than 5 single-spaced pages):

  • description of the project: goals, methods, outcomes;
  • clear identification of the significance of the project to interfaith studies,
  • time-table for the project's completion,
  • description of the researcher?s institution needs.

4)One recommendation from a Tenure-track or Tenured Old Dominion University Faculty Member
5)The approval of the ?Research Fellows? appointment by the Dean of Arts and Letters
