The Bachelor of Science degree program in Zoological Parks Management was developed in the mid 1980's to offer students an opportunity to combine the study of science, conservation studies and business with special applications to the zoological parks industry. This 53 credit hour concentration within a traditional 120 credit hour bachelor's degree program combines the study of biology, marketing, accounting, management and ethics. All students must complete a senior level program integration project which may include an internship, an individualized senior paper or an electronic portfolio. This program helps prepare students for careers in zoological parks management and conservation fields. See the American Zoo and Aquarium Association for various career options.
