M.A. Emphasis Areas
The master of arts degree in humanities is interdisciplinary. Choosing from more than seventy graduate level courses offered through various departments of the College of Arts & Letters each semester, students may design their own emphasis area.

- History & Theory of Film

- Religion and Public Policy From Baroque to Romanticism
- Contemporary Art Criticism Ideologies: Cromwell to Marx
Regardless of the emphasis selected, each student will work closely with the program director and faculty members within the student's field(s) in designing a coherent academic program that encourages critical thinking, dynamic scholarship, and individual vision, while providing for formal faculty guidance at every stage of development.
