Teaching and Research Assistantships

The Humanities Institute offers a limited number of assistantships--one in the summer (art gallery), and four in both fall and spring semesters (two in the art gallery, one with women's studies, and one as a research assistant to Dr. Jones).  Students must be enrolled full-time(6-hours in the summer, 9-hours in fall and spring), and the work commitment is 20-hours per week.  The graduate assistantship stipend is $5000 per semester, but does NOT include tuition remission. The experience in each instance should prove invaluable to students' current or futurework/educational goals.

To apply, please fill out an Application, and return it and any supporting documents to Dr. Jones or the Institute's office assistant, Stacey Parks (via e-mail or by visiting the office).  Students may also becontacted for an interview.  All students who will be full-time M.A.students in the program during their work assignment (that is, not Accelerated undergraduates) are eligible to apply.

Applications are due by March 15.
