Maritime History Camp

August 13-17
This summer, ODU's History Department will sponsor Maritime History Adventures, a camp for ages 6-10 or rising 1st through rising 5th graders. Campers will learn about ships, navigation, famous mariners, nautical archaeology, life on the sea, and more through a variety of activities, crafts, and fieldtrips. Each day, a different theme will be explored, including Age of Sail, Life at Sea, Protecting our Coasts, Exploring the Deep, and Nautical Fun. Fieldtrips include the Mariner's Museum, Jamestown, the Old Coast Guard Station at Virginia Beach and more.
The camp will be held in the Batten Arts and Letters building, which is located between 43rd and 45th streets on the Old Dominion University campus.
Maritime History Adventures is a day camp which begins at 9a.m. and ends promptly at 5p.m. daily
Cost per child: $210.00
Campers will need to supply their own beverages and lunch.
