Central American Political History Database

Old Dominion University (Norfolk, VA) is pleased to present this historical database of the heads of state of the five Central American countries of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua, plus the heads of state of the defunct Central American Federation. At the moment the database is limited to the names of all Central American heads of state, along with the following information about each of them:

In those cases in which the relevant information could not be identified, the fields have been left blank.

Old Dominion hopes to expand the database to include data on cabinet members, constitutions and other aspects of Central American political history.

Corrections and suggestions for improving this tool would be welcomed by the principal developer of the database, Robert H. Holden, associate professor of Latin American history, Old Dominion University.
