Editing

Editing is the final stage of the writing process. At this point, you are concentrating on cleaning up mistakes in grammar, spelling, and usage. It is important to try and leave this for last, because there is little point in cleaning up and polishing up something you might need to rewrite or cut out later.

Quick Editing Tips

This is a collection of Editing Tricks by Dr. David Meztger on some, but not all, common editing mistakes.

Grammar

In the grammar section, you'll find some basic information on the basic parts of speech and some examples of proper use.

Grammar Log

Download a Grammar Log (In Microsoft Word) and use it to keep track of your most common grammar mistakes to make editing easier on later papers

Punctuation

In the punctuation section, you'll find some basic information on punctuation such as rules for comma use.
