Dynamic and diverse student body

GPIS students typically have either an M.A. (if they are entering the doctoral program) or a BA. in such fields as economics, history, political science, sociology, business management, foreign languages, communications, linguistics, or literature, among others.

Many come from other countries; among them are Bangladesh, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Egypt, France, India, Iran, Italy, Japan, Poland, Russia, Thailand, U.K., and Uzbekistan.

Some students already had work experience in international affairs or government before joing GPIS. Once in the program, many present their research results at national conferences and some have published their work in academic journals. One of the most cherished of GPIS traditions is the support and cooperation that students receive from their faculty mentors during both the research and writing phases of their projects.
