ODU AREA STUDIES
Area Studies programs at Old Dominion bring together the best of the university's interdisciplinary strengths. Above all, they offer specialized degrees that promote and coordinate teaching and research on international affairs, societies, languages, and cultures. They provide opportunities for scholarly research and intellectual innovation; encourage faculty-student dialogue; and bring international opportunities and inspiration to teaching professionals, the media, businesses, and the Hampton Roads community. They also sponsor lectures, conferences, workshops, and other activities.
