 Welcome

The Old Dominion University Community Music Division, established in 1984, offers the finest level of private music instruction, classes, and ensembles for people of all ages and abilities. Our instructors hold degrees in music and specialize in the instruments they teach. Students may participate in Community Music Division recitals held in the Chandler Recital Hall at the end of each semester. All lessons are taught on campus in the Diehn Fine and Performing Arts Center, 49th Street and Elkhorn Avenue.

CMD News

The CMD is now registering for Session III. Please click here for Session III call numbers.

CMD has now added an instruction evaluation. We ask all current students to please fill out the evaluation once per year so we may better serve your musical needs. Click here for the evaluation.

Students may park in the parking garage on 43rd and Elkhorn Ave. Please note that at no time should any student park in a reserved spot, or in a spot/lot/garage area designated Faculty/Staff (F/S)

Due to a change in policy, all students must bring their non-credit operations receipt to their first lesson for proof of tuition payment.
