Welcome
The Old Dominion University Community Music Division, established in 1984 as the Community Music Academy, offers the finest level of private music instruction, classes, and ensembles for people of all ages and abilities. Our instructors hold degrees in music and specialize in the instruments they teach. Students may participate in Community Music Division recitals held in the Chandler Recital Hall at the end of each semester. Lessons are taught on campus in the Diehn Fine and Performing Arts Center, 49th Street and Elkhorn Avenue.
All classes and private lessons are listed with the University through Continuing Education. A trascript may be requested for all non-credit courses. Continuing Education units (CEUs) are also available to teachers- ask our director for more details.

The HRYWE closing concert will be held Friday June 1 at 7:30 PM in University Theater. It is free and open to the public. We hope to see you there!
