For Advising Appointments


Academic advising is available for those who have credit for ENGL 110C and 111C (grade of "C" or better required).

During the academic year students needing to make an appointment to register for Spring courses should start making their appointments in early October. Students needing to make an appointment to register for Summer and Fall courses should start making their appointments in late February and early March.

Please contact Mr. Trey Mayo at 757-683-4927 or via e-mail at rmayo@odu.edu to schedule an advising appointment outside of these peak times. Mr. Mayo's office is located in BAL 3026. He is only available for advising on Mondays and Tuesdays for the undergraduate International Studies major.

Effective Monday, September 15, 2008 - Mr. Mayo's office hours for advising will be changing to Mondays and Tuesdays during the fall semester.

Please note that during peak advising seasons (i.e., March-April for Summer and Fall advising; October-November for Spring advising), students are highly encouraged to sign up for an appointment using the "wall calendar" in Mr. Mayo's office (BAL 3026) rather than scheduling by phone or e-mail. This calendar is always available every week and appointments are awarded on a first come-first served basis. Students who are more than 10 minutes late to an advising appointment will have to reschedule.

Dr. Time's office hours for the spring semester are:

Tuesdays - 1:00-2:45 pm and 4:15-6:50 p.m.
Wednesdays - 1:00-6:00 p.m.
Thursdays - 1:00-6:00 p.m.

Students wishing to see her for advising should e-mail her at vtime@odu.edu to schedule an advising appointment. Students pursuing the accelerated BA/MA option should also meet with Dr. Time.
